About the Art

I am currently focusing on printmaking using linoleum, rubber, and wood block prints. My usual subjects are whatever’s currently taking over my garden beds, feral animals, and the occasional soul dog.

I create many different forms of artwork using just as many different mediums, but everything I do is inspired by the simple, yet profound, beauty in all that surrounds me (but especially my insane garden). This includes pressed flowers, sculptures, silly jewelry, embroidery, and other random pieces. All my work is truly handmade, and I have a knack for insisting on doing things the hard way and for diving head first into a new thing.

No AI is ever used in the process of creating any of my art.

Lessons from the Garden

I spent my first couple of years gardening trying to control everything: pulling every single weed, planting with “proper” amounts of space, trying to eradicate each pest that came to visit. The weird thing is I never had anything to show for it, other than stress and a really sparse garden. The moment I let go and decided to let nature take its course, I was rewarded with an overflowing, chaotic garden full of life and pollinators. It finally became everything I ever wanted it to be.

I try to take my lessons from the garden right into my life, and into my art as well. Here are some of my favorites:

Let go and the good will always outweigh the bad
What doesn’t want to grow here, doesn’t need to
Some see weeds, I see another misunderstood plant
